White Tea is wilted and unoxidized and is lighter in colour than other types of tea with a delicate flavour. It is harvested primarily in China, mostly in Fujian Province. The good quality "Silver Needles" are made from cultivars of the Da Bai (Large White) tea tree family. A best grade white tea should be fleshy, bright coloured and covered with tiny white hairs. White Tea is the least processed tea and has its high level of antioxidants and overall health promoting properties.

Description
Tea has been used as medicine for centuries. The white Tea has a great range of effects on the body and give benefits to health. The Chinese saying goes - "One year old is a tea, three years old is a medicine, seven years old is a treasure". Tea aged over three years is considered aged white tea (老白茶) while tea aged over seven years develops a pronounced aroma and increases in value. Fuding aged white tea is classified into four categories based on the raw material variety, Silver Needle, White Peony, Gongmei and shoumei. Silver Needle is the highest grade, Shoumei is the most basic, and each category is further subdivided into special grade, first grade and other sub-grades.
Brewing Tips
Water Temperature: 95-100°c
Ratio of Tea Leaf &Water: 1g to 50ml
Steeping:
1-3 (25 to 30sec)
4-6 (35 to 40sec)
Infusion: 6 to 8 times (also excellent for boiling/simmering)
Shelf Life: Perfect for long-term aging.
Storage Recommended: Keep in air-tight -container in a dry cool place, away from direct sunlight. (Best Recommended to drink within 15+ years under storage conditions that meet the standard).
