Wuyi Yancha is a premium, charcoal-roasted Chinese oolong tea grown in the mineral-rich Wuyi Mountains. It is famous for its distinct "rock rhyme" (earthy mineral taste) and deep, roasted flavors of caramel, wood, and spice. Popular varieties include Da Hong Pao, Rou Gui, and Shui Xian.

Description
The word "Rou Gui" means "Cinnamon" or "Cassia Bark" in Chinese. One of the most widely cultivated alongside Da Hong Pao. The smoky and strong tea is a Wuyi Oolong famous Yan Cha for its sharp aromas. When steeping to release a mineral, woody flavour from its strong stretched leaves and rich dark red colour, it has also the distinctive feature of 'Rock Rhyme' (Yan Yun) 岩韵

Yan Yun comes from the environment where the tea bushes are grown at cliff in the mountains on mineral rich rocky soil. Fresh tea leaves that are picked from the high slopes are the best for getting the Yan Yun. A cup of quality Rock Oolong tea is when the mineral, roasted component is in perfect balance with a long-lasting sweet finish.

Water Temperature: 95°c - 100°c
Ratio of Tea Leaf &Water: 1.5g to 30ml

Infusion: 6 to 8 times

Shelf Life: 36 months
Storage Recommended: Keep in air-tight container in a dry cool place, to prevent odours and loses its tea brightness.
